2015 - QUEANBEYAN HOSPITAL

Bungendore Quilters donates quilts to as many families as possible whose baby is born at Queanbeyan Hospital. Our Annual Challenge in 2015 was to make baby quilts to be donated to new mothers in the maternity ward of Queanbeyan Hospital. We had a dozen entries for the Challenge with another eight baby quilts donated for the hospital making a total of twenty baby quilts donated to the maternity ward for new mothers.

This quilt was made by Bungendore Quilter's members and given to the Queanbeyan Hospital Maternity Unit for everyone to enjoy.

2009+ - donate life act

Our members actively create and donate quilts to the DonateLife ACT. DonateLife ACT coordinates all organ and tissue donor activities across the ACT and region. It works with hospitals and hospital-based DonateLife medical specialists and nurses across the ACT and region to provide professional donation services and encourage best practice to increase donation rates. Since 2009, Bungendore Quilters has been donating quilts to DonateLife ACT. These quilts are given to the donor whilst they are in hospital which help to brighten their room and take away the feel of a hospital. The quilt is given to the family to keep.
