Bungendore Quilters have a number of quilters who willingly make time to produce quilts for groups and individuals. We support local families as well as Queanbeyan Hospital Maternity Ward and DonateLife ACT.

As a Bungendore community group, when possible, we extend support in tragic circumstances through the donation of quilts made by members. Our members make the quilt tops from their own fabric and through the support of funds from Veolia Mulwaree Trust, we are able to have the quilt tops professionally quilted and made into finished quilts. We hope that this gesture can bring comfort to local families in difficult times.

In 2016 our Annual Challenge was to make quilt tops (1.5m x 1.2m max) to be donated to residents of an Aged Care Facility. Bungendore Quilters' members have made fifteen quilts and due to the generosity and funds from the Bungendore Community Bank Branch and Veolia Mulwaree Trust, the quilts have been professionally quilted and will be given to members of our local community early in 2018. We have decided that not all quilts will be donated to residents of an Aged Care Facility and some may be used for other individuals or be given to groups to raise funds for their own organisation.

Two of our quilts have now gone to raise funds for not-for-profit groups - Retina Australia and Bosom Buddies, Canberra.

Below are some of the quilts we have donated and will donate to our local residents and support groups.
