The Bungendore Quilt Exhibition would not be possible without the generous sponsorship from businesses, groups and individuals in our local community. Many thanks to all our supporters listed below. Where possible, please try and support our local businesses for goods and services you require.

Bungendore Community Bank®Branch of Bendigo Bank

The Bungendore Community Bank Branch supports many community based projects and organisations. Our community bank has always been behind our annual exhibition in the form of sponsorship to assist with advertising, etc. They are located at Shop 1, 33 Ellendon Street, Bungendore.

In 2015 our Bungendore Community Bank branch sponsored Bungendore Quilters for nearly $5,000 for new black screens for our Annual Quilt Exhibition and the Queanbeyan road banner. This was a wonderful donation and very much appreciated. Mike Connors from Signflair in Bungendore made the banner and it is displayed over the road as you drive into Queanbeyan from mid to end November each year.

The Veolia Mulwaree Trust was established to manage and distribute funds from the Woodlawn Bioreactor near Tarago owned by Veolia Environmental Services. The objective of the Veolia Mulwaree Trust is to provide funding to any charitable purpose and on projects for the benefit of the community of the former Mulwaree Shire Council area, or a community within a Council area immediately surrounding or adjoining the former Mulwaree Shire area.

The Veolia Mulwaree Trust sponsored Bungendore Quilters in 2009 for five very large quilt stands which were made specifically for our annual Quilt Exhibition. We had small, engraved plates made to mark this generous sponsorship. These stands will be used for many exhibitions in the years to come.

In 2015, Veolia Mulwaree Trust sponsored Bungendore Quilters for $1,000 to finish our next five compassion quilts. Our members make and donate fabric for a compassion quilt but then we require funds for backing, wadding and quilting to enable us to finish the quilt and give it to our recipient. Veolia Mulwaree Trust has very kindly allowed us to continue this aspect of our community involvement.

The Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council, was formed by merging the City of Queanbeyan and Palerang Council to make a large, diverse regional council with Queanbeyan as its major city surrounded by the villages of Bungendore, Braidwood and Captains Flat. The QPRC also includes many localities, some of which are Boro, Burra, Hoskinstown, Majors Creek, Mount Fairy, Nerriga, Rossi and parts of Sutton and Tarago.

The QPRC is keen to promote the arts and cultural events in our area and events such as the Arts Trail, held in October, is a much anticipated annual arts event. The Arts Trails allows visitors to take a self-guided tour around Queanbeyan-Palerang’ s many art studios and galleries in Queanbeyan, Captains Flat, Bungendore, Braidwood, Bywong, Carwoola and Googong.

In 2017, the QPRC sponsored Bungendore Quilters for $1,500 to assist with the purchase of new banners to promote our Annual Quilt Exhibition and to assist in covering the costs of the exhibition.

Thank you so much to our Bronze Sponsors, without whom we would not be able to have such a successful Annual Exhibition each year. These sponsors donate prizes, make donations, purchase raffle tickets, lend equipment, give freely of their time and expertise and help make our Annual Exhibition the wonderful weekend it is. Thank you one and all.
