COMPASSION QUILTS
Bungendore Quilters Inc. include quilters who willingly make time to produce quilts for two groups of very worthwhile receipients. One is the ACT Organ and Tissue Donation Service which give quilts to the donors of organs for transplant and their families and the other group are parents whose newborn babies were stillborn or passed away at Queanbeyan Hospital.
donate LIFE QUILTS
	Bungendore Quilters Inc have decided to donate quilts to the ACT Organ and Tissue Donation Service. Organ and tissue donation gives life, health and well being to many people and the emotional, social and economic savings achieved through transplantation are immeasurable. Individuals and society benefit as people are returned to their normal activities. Australia leads the world in transplantation successes. Since 1965 over 30,000 Australians have received organ or tissue transplants and the ACT leads organ donation outcomes nationally. 	Bungendore Quilters Inc also donate quilts to families who have lost newborn babies at Queanbeyan Hospital. Details for Queanbeyan Hospital Quilts The quilt needs to be no larger than 24" x 16" and wadding is not required. As there is no wadding necessary, the sleeve technique can be used instead of binding. Simple designs are the most appropriate.
